The Irish part of Euractiv’s parent company, Mediahuis, has sued X for scam advertisements, designed to appear as genuine news articles, alleging that they infringe the publishers’ trademarks and copyrights and create reputational risk. According to the complaint, advertisements on X contained links to fictitious articles that included the logo of the Irish Independent, published by Mediahuis Ireland and with the byline of one of its journalists.
